HOW DOES MOBILE SHELVING WORK?

Mobile storage shelving works by moving the rows of shelving units as required to create an aisle for the specific position in the system where access is required. If for example, an item stored on the third row of the system is required, the shelving units from this row onwards will move along to open up access to the third row.

By only including a single access aisle at any time, the floor space that would be used for aisles in a regular shelving system can instead be used for additional mobile shelving units. This method enables mobile systems to deliver high density storage units for highly efficient use of space within a warehouse.

Mobile shelving is available with either an easy to use hand wheel mechanism, which lets you move the shelving to create aisles as required, or with a electric drive system for the ultimate convenience.
